The results of the February 2021 survey show that respondents’ opinion on most topics has improved.

Thus, in February 95% of respondents agree that the Economic Council promotes initiatives that correspond to the interests of business associations, good international practices and are supported by the international community.

In September 2020, this opinion was shared by 89%. The survey data also shows that more and more EC members believe that the Economic Council ensures a genuine multi stakeholder participation of all its members. The February 2021 survey also shows that 80% of respondents totally agree that the Economic Council is an efficient mechanism to promote a dialogue between the Government and the business community.

Last year, 61% thought so. In February 2021, more respondents participated in the survey than in September 2020 – 62 vs 58.

5 October 2020 – According to the survey, 98% of respondents totally or partially agree that the Economic Council is an essential tool in promoting economic reforms and it is important that it continues its activity in the near future. The data also show that 93% of survey participants totally or partially agree that the business environment has improved in the areas the Economic Council has undertaken its work. In January 2020, this opinion was shared by 88 percent of respondents.

84% of respondents totally or partially agree with the idea that the Economic Council promotes initiatives that correspond to the interests of business associations, good international practices and are supported by the international community. At the beginning of this year this percentage was 99%. One argument that can explain this decrease is the effects of the pandemic on the activity of the whole society, of the state institutions and of the prioritization of the subjects during this period.

The survey also shows that 86% of respondents totally or partially agree that trust between the government and the business community has improved over the course of the activity of the Economic Council.

In January 2020, 95% of respondents were of this opinion.

If in August 2019, 12 percent of the respondents expressed partial disagreement with the view that the Economic Council is an effective mechanism to promote a dialogue between the Government and the business community, then the results of the January 2020 survey show 0% of such answers to this question.

And the perception of the members of the Council about the fact that the Economic Council operates in an open, inclusive, friendly and transparent way has been improved. Last year 4% were in total disagreement with this statement. The latest survey did not record such responses.

Overall, 99 percent of respondents believe that the Economic Council only promotes initiatives that are in line with the interests of the business environment, international good practices and are supported by the international community.

And with the statement, that the Economic Council has an important role to play in promoting economic reforms and must act in the next period, 88% fully agree, and 12% partially agree.

The biannual survey among the members of the Economic Council was conducted in January 2020.

And 96% mentioned that topics and issues discussed at the Economic Council are relevant and current. All respondents believe that the Economic Council is perceived as a platform that promotes the interests of the business community, and not the narrow interests of groups, including political parties. 88 percent of those who answered the survey’s questions noted that trust between the government and the business community has improved as a result of the Economic Council’s work.

In total respondents to the survey had to answer 11 questions, which related, among other things to the popularity of this platform among the business environment, the transparency of the Council’s work and not least for it operate in the coming period.

The survey was attended by 50 out of 100 members of the Economic Council, which includes business associations, international organizations active in the field of business reforms, civil society, academia and state institutions.

The survey was conducted during august 2019. The questionnaire is conducted  every half year and is addressed to all members of the Economic Council.

The questionnaire, which is conducted twice a year, also shows that respondents perceive the Economic Council as a platform that assures the involvement of all its members. 99 percent of the respondents believe that everyone’s voice is heard at the Economic Council, compared with 94 percent as they were six months ago.

According to the same poll, the platform promotes only initiatives that match business interests, international best practices and are supported by the international community.

Increased the percentage of those who consider that intervention of the Economic Council in certain areas led to improving the business environment activity. This time, 97 percent of respondents agreed to this, compared to 94 percent six months ago.

In the survey participated 73 of the 100 members of the Economic Council. The poll was conducted in the period of January and February 2019.
